Vaccination Requirements

New Zealand Football and the federations have confirmed football and futsal competitions, matches and trainings for participants aged over 12 years and 3 months will operate as My Vaccine Pass Gatherings. This is to ensure that the game remains compliant with the Covid-19 Protection Framework and can be played in the safest possible environment. All participants aged over 12 years and 3 months will require a valid My Vaccine Pass to be involved in these Gatherings. Participants aged 5-11 are encouraged to be vaccinated. 

Players, parents and caregivers will be prompted to scan their vaccine certificates during registration.

Safe Training​​​​​​​

Guidance from NZ Football states we have to have the following protocols in place before any teams can practice:

  • Appropriate hygiene processes in place for participants and equipment 
  • Approved contact tracing for all attendees at training
  • 2-metre social distancing outside of training activities
  • No mingling between practicing groups and supporters
  • Arrival/Departure protocols

We have implemented

  • A staggered training schedule
  • Washing/sanitizing hands for all participants prior to and after training
  • Sanitation for all equipment 
  • Designated areas for Arrival and Departure
