GFC are putting on open training sessions for those children who are keen to try out for the development squads this season across the junior U9-U12 grades. These open training sessions replace the old format of grading/trials which can put a lot of pressure on the kids. During these open training sessions the kids will move through a number of stations which will focus on key areas such as:

• Touch
• Passing
• Defence/tackling
• Shooting
• Goalkeeping (for those interested)
• Small-sided games

During these training sessions the coaches will get a really good view of the kids in a low pressure, fun training environment.

As a reminder Northern Region Football has posted the 2022 season dates and all NRF community football commences late this season due to the COVID knock-on effects on team sport, kicking off Sat 7th May.
