REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2026 WINTER SEASON OPENING SOON!

Player development program

Greenhithe FC has a proud history of producing exceptional players; current All White Callum McCowatt is among our alumni.

Year on year, our teams represent our club in a number of tournaments, regularly placing in the top three.

To continue in this vein, GFC uses a modern football philosophy delivered through a year-long periodised plan, developing players with consistency from year to year.

The club is extremely proud of providing an exciting development program while maintaining affordable fees.

Development and Academy Squads (Grades 8-13)

The development squad comprises teams in each grade made up of players selected at Open Training Sessions. The top teir of these may be invited to join an Academy team. These players will be looking to play at the higher levels of grading within the region and will be stretched in their skills development.

  • Players in these teams must commit to two trainings per week, plus a game day
  • Training starts in term 1 and continues throughout the year
  • One training session per week will be a Skills Centre session taken by a JL3 qualified coach, the other by the team coach
  • There is an annual coaching fee, on top of membership, payable at the start of the year

The trainings will be based on the clubs' four year Junior Program to provide consistent development from year to year. This program is developed under the guidelines of the NZF Skill centre program.

If during the season, changes are desired for the benefit of the player, the club will seek to address this where ever possible.

Youth Programme (Grades 14-17)
