Greenhithe Football Club puts the emphasis on enjoying the game, and to make it enjoyable for all it’s important to keep it positive and fair.
For Players
We ask every player to:
- Play by the rules and respect the game
- Accept officials’ decisions — no arguing
- Show up, work hard, and give it your best every time
- Be a team player: encourage others and celebrate good plays (from anyone)
- Help teammates when you can — on and off the field
- Treat everyone with respect. No put-downs, no bullying
- Thank your coach, referees, opposition, and supporters.
- Play with passion, energy, and pride.
For Supporters
Your energy matters. Help make the game a great experience by:
- Remembering that sport is about fun, growth, and enjoyment
- Supporting good play and effort from all players
- Making an effort to understand the rules
- Keeping comments positive — supportive, not abusive
- Understanding young players can be easily confused by too many instructions; leave the coaching to the coach!
- Respecting the decisions of referees, coaches and managers
- Showing self-control on the sideline (kids are always watching)
- Appreciating the volunteers who make sport possible
- Allowing room for mistakes — none of us are perfect
- Bringing the noise in the right way
