Becoming a coach

Greenhithe Football Club encourages anyone to be a coach! Without coaches, our kids cannot play. With the number of children playing, and with smaller team sizes, we need more coaches than ever, particularly for First Kicks!

Coaches can be anyone; mums, dads, older siblings, grandparents, and friends that are simply keen to be involved and give it a go. You don't need to know all the rules in great detail - you just need to enjoy supporting kids sport, and able to attend training once a week and games on Saturdays.

Coaches are provided with:

• A full kit of gear for each team
• Program and support 
• The club will also pay costs if coaches wish to attend formal coaching training for coaching licenses through NRF/NZF.

Each year many of the coaches from the previous year 'graduate' with their older children so please strongly consider being a coach - sport is a great way to be involved with your children!
