Senior Women’s Division 1

Our Division 1 team competes at a high level in the Auckland women's football league. This team is for experienced, committed players who thrive on challenge and want to test themselves against strong opposition week in, week out.

  • Level: Competitive
  • Commitment: High — regular training attendance and match-day availability essential
  • Style: Fast-paced, tactical football with a focus on development and performance

Social

Our social team is all about the love of the game. We welcome players who want to enjoy football in a relaxed, supportive environment where fitness, fun, and friendship are at the heart of everything we do.

  • Style: Inclusive, positive football where everyone gets a game

When does the season run?

The women's football season runs from April to September, with breaks during school holidays.

What is the time commitment?

Preseason training and during regular season the team trains every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm for between an hour and 90 minutes. Games are played on Sundays. Game start times can vary from 9am to 1pm. 

Where do we train and play?

Training is held at Wainoni Park or Greenhithe War Memorial. Home games are mainly played at Wainoni Park, with away fixtures across Auckland.

What is the cost?

  • Registration for the senior women's first team is $125 plus a commitment to the Player’s Charter, which involves volunteering for the club on several occasions through the season, helping with fundraising and inspiring younger players.
  • Registration for the social women's team is $225.

This covers your league registration, club membership, and kit for the season.

Do I need experience to join?

For Division 1, we're looking for players with competitive football experience who are ready to commit to a high-performance environment.

For Social, all abilities are welcome. Whether you played as a junior and want to get back into it, or you're new to football and keen to give it a go, you'll find your place with us.

What kit do I need?

You'll receive a Greenhithe FC playing kit as part of your registration.
