Congratulations to Indi Kennedy, the latest winner of our Thumbs Up Award.

Indi came to the rescue when her brother's team was left without a volunteer referee at the recent RDS 10th Grade Tournament.

U10 Warriors coach Dave Brereton said: "She offered to referee when no one else did. This allowed me to concentrate on coaching. She did a fantastic job refereeing two games with confidence – even though her mum was worried!"

Junior Coordinator Phil Stephens said: "It was very brave of her. No adult was willing to do it, but she did."

The Thumbs Up Award can be won by anyone who makes a difference at GFC by lending a hand, from adult supporters to our youngest players. Indi, a member of the 11th Grade Grenades, is proof that you're never too young to make a big difference.

As this week's Thumbs Up Award winner, she receives a prize pack valued at approximately $90, including:
